At Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP, we believe that providing sound legal advice begins with listening to gain a complete understanding of our clients' needs. Our commitment to meeting those needs has allowed us to become one of the largest and most successful independent law firms in the National Capital Region. Being bigger means we can provide you with a superior articling experience, including exposure to a broad range of practice areas and access to resources and support that are second to none. A strong team of administrators, law clerks, legal assistants, library, IT and accounting personnel supports our more than 50 lawyers. Our commitment to continually meeting our clients changing needs means we'll continue to grow and expand our areas of expertise. For articling students, that means opportunity. To maximize your articling experience we provide four rotations over your 10-month placement, each in a different department. The system is flexible, allowing you to pursue areas of personal interest and to follow a file from beginning to end. In addition to the range of law we practice, our size means we're able to provide you with support and access to resources that will significantly enrich your experience. These include:
We believe that a strong, cohesive team delivers superior service to our clients. That's why we invite our students to get involved in the many learning opportunities, charitable activities and social events organized by the firm. If a short sample is not available you may provide us with an excerpt from a lengthier piece. The schedule for the articling recruitment process for 2011-2012 articling session is as follows:
