John joined the Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall team in 2011 after graduating cum laude from the University of Ottawa’s English Common Law program (LL.B.) and magna cum laude from the French Civil Law program (LL.L.). John’s experience as a member and coach of the University of Ottawa’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team has made him an integral part of the firm’s International Arbitration Group.
John’s professional background includes working at the United Nations International Law Commission (ILC), and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, as well as interning with the Department of Justice and Canadian Lawyers Abroad. His is the Founder and former President of the Sustainable Development Law Student Society and past Vice-President of the Common Law Student Society at the University of Ottawa.
John is fluent in both English and French.
