Firm Lawyer Appointed to Head of Not-For-Profit and Charity Law Group

Megan D. Wallace, a business law lawyer at Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP/s.r.l., was recently appointed Head of the firm’s Not-For-Profit and Charity Law Group.

In addition to her work with for-profit businesses and corporations, Megan works with a large number of not-for-profits and charities, both large and small, on issues including compliance with legislation and the requirements of charitable registration, corporate and board governance, transactions and contracts/agreements.  Megan assisted over seventy clients, both large and small, with continuing to adhere to the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act and is already working with clients in respect of the upcoming transition to the new Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act.

In addition to her practice in the area, Megan serves as a volunteer Director on the Boards of Directors of two registered charities.

Megan is a leader in the sector, has a proactive work ethic and offers exceptional client service. Megan is a member of the Bars of Ontario and Alberta.
